Dr. Steven Kalter is a Medical Oncologist and Hematologist in private practice with South Texas Oncology and Hematology at the START Center. A San Antonio native, he is the co-founder of South Texas Hematology and Oncology with Dr. Lon Smith.
Dr. Kalter received his M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his fellowship in Medical Oncology at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, and his fellowship in Hematology at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Kalter is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology. He has been treating cancer patients for 30 years.
